Designed for active, outdoor lifestyles--as well as the rigors of harsh urban landscapes--the full-sized timex T40941 Expedition digital watch adds a stylish yet rugged complement to your everyday wear. It features a large, round resin watch case with a dark gray top ring and a durable resin strap with buckle fastener). Timing features include a 100-hour chronograph with lap or split options, 99-lap counter, 24-hour countdown timer, and second time zone with date. It also offers three alarms with daily, weekday, and weekend options, and water resistance to 100 meters (330 feet).

The Indiglo night-light uniformly lights the surface of the watch dial using patented blue electroluminescent lighting technology. It uses less battery power than most other watch illumination systems, enabling your watch battery to last longer. The Night Mode feature allows you to illuminate the Indiglo night-light for 3 seconds with any button press, regardless of the mode or function.

This is a pretty good watch for general use and sports (ie running, cycling, etc.). It looks good and the indiglo is the reverse of previous watches I've owned (the digits glow - which is cool).

My only problem is the buttons feel a little flimsier then I'd like. I get the impression that they might not last 5 years (the age of my last Timex Expedition, which I lost unfortunately - hence my buying this watch). I also wish you could choose your band. I don't like bands made from rubber and the compass is 100% worthless.

If this watch came with a fastwrap strap and the buttons didn't feel flimsy then I'd give it 5 stars.


This watch has the most beautiful readable display I've ever had
on any Timex model. Very light silver background with black
digits. All functions work great. The indiglo light on this model
lights up only the digits, not the background too. That's very
nice. Plus it has a tiny compass (magnetic north) on the band.



I have always been impressed with Timex watches. They make a high quality product at an affordable price. This watch is excellent and what impressed me most about this watch is that I did not need the instructions to program it. The watch this one replaced is a Timex, which is 18 years old and still running though the buttons are worn. Timex takes a licking and keeps on ticking is a very true statement.


I have owned a number of Iron man Timex watches. I liked the looks of this one on my my computer screen but found it to be really "clunky" when I got it. The small compass on the band could have been left off and can be easily removed. The display is very good and I like that. The band, however, is rubber and that I do not like!! I bought based on it having 2 time zones, multiple alarms, a light and reasonble cost. It's ok for the price but wish I could have seen it locally first. It was not available at my local Walmart though. Should last me a few years. Good for price and features.


I agree with Mr. Sechrest. This watch is incredibly accurate- it gains 2-3 seconds/month. And you can't beat the price.
