I love this watch. My wife bought it for me to use on my first Marathon. I found it very easy to use and easy to read on the go. I used to use the older Ironman watch with two buttons on the front and occasionally pushed the wrong one on the run. This watch eliminates that possibility. Timex Men's Ironman 5 Lap Stainless Steel Bracelet Watch #T5G801

Very nice and dependable watch. I bought SIX of them for some of my employees as a bonus gift and they are very happy with this watch. They look "sporty" and at the same time elegant.


Band can be adjusted, though not that easily (I had a jeweler remove some links). Once you get it tight on your wrist it feels pretty good on runs. I raced a ten miler wearing it once and I got an annoying little sore spot on my wrist. Steel is probably not the ideal running watch band material, but I like the look and the presumed durability. Weight is not really the issue, it just rubs if you don't get it tightened down enough. All functions are easy to use and work well. I just ran 12 miles with it quite comfortably today. Would buy again.


I am very pleased with the watch and it was delivered before the scheduled date.


I have used Ironman watches for a while now and really like them. I started using the ones with the velcro bands for a while, but the velcro would wear out and the watch would want to come off while swimming. This kept necessitating the replacement of the watch bands. So I decided to try the ones with the plastic band. While this worked great, unfortunately, apparently I am allergic to whatever is used in this band, as my wrist turned red and swelled under the band. I decided to try this particular watch. It looks great and has all of the same great features. But unfortunatly, it sprung a leak the first time I tried to swim with it, wiping out a large portion of the LCD display. I guess I'll go back to the original velco banded ones.


The watch itself is fine, but if you are on the move like I am avoid this watch. The band has a tiny pin to hold the band to the watch. Needless to say, it is not a strong one and does not work properly. After wearing it a month, I had to have the band replaced twice. Unless you are in the market for a clock avoid this at all cost!

Color is paler than the photo - but works great and it was just what I wanted...


I wear this every day and shower in it as well as wash dishes. It is holding up well, and it even tells me what day of the week it is! If anything ever happens to this one, I will certaily buy another.


TOOK OFF 1 STAR BECAUSE I THINK THE LILAC COULD BE A LITTLE DARKER. IT'S NOT AS DARK AS THE PICTURE HERE ON AMAZON. BESIDES THIS, I LOVE IT. I REALLY DON'T NEED THE STOP WATCH PART OF IT, I JUST WANTED SOMETHING DIFFERENT AND I'M TIRED OF TRYING TO FIND A NICE WATCH WITH THE DATE. THE INDIGLO LIGHT IS BLUE, AND IT LIGHTS UP THE NUMBERS NOT JUST THE BACK GROUND, I THINK THATS COOL.AND THE BAND IS BLACK I COULDN'T REALLY TELL FROM THE PICTURE IF IT WAS BLACK OR LIKE A PLUM COLOR. I RECOMMEND GOING TO THE TIMEX WEBSITE TO SEE THE TRUE COLORS OF THE WATCHES.


I purchased this watch and have worn it daily for about 2 years and 3 months. I am disappointed in this watch's face and watchband materials. I also don't like the way it lights in the dark.

First of all, the purple color peeled/deteriorated to silver rather quickly, before the first year was up, I think.

After two years, the watchband retainer (that keeps the extra length of strap in place) broke.

Today, I noticed that the watchband had broken at the notch - completely through on one side, and half torn on the other. I am attempting to superglue it but won't know for a day or two if that repair will be enough to keep it together - and I'm leaving for a long trip just after that, so this is even more worrisome.

As an initial impression, I did not like (and have never grown accustomed to) the way the Indiglo light worked. Primarily, this type of watch lights up the numbers rather than the face, and it is too dim and shuts off too quickly. This watch is supposed to light up when you shake your wrist, but I rarely used this feature.

The alarm and functions are pretty good, and I don't believe I've had to replace the battery so far. Also, the buttons have not failed as they did with previous Timex women's watches I owned.

I expect a watch's materials to hold up longer than 1-2 years. However, for under forty dollars, I guess I probably got what I paid for.


I did not expected this watch to last at all since it was for my GF.. And she is not very well know for someone that cares for her things since you is always is running around with all of her fitness and all,, but its been over 2 years since I gave it to her and she still has it..


Good morning, I purchased this item for my daughter believing it was lilac or a light purple color. When I got it it was more silver gray - not really purple at all. I returned it and got another one.

Timex Unisex 3 Lap Ironman Resin Strap Watch #T5E951

I've worn Timex Ironman watches for the past 13 years. They are very decent watches for a relatively inexpensive price. I prefer the resin strap watches because they don't retain odors like the cloth straps do.
I can take or leave the Flix technology, it activated itself sometimes when I didn't want to, and wouldn't work when I did. I just relied on using the normal Indiglo button.
These watches typically last me about a year and a half, and it is always the same piece that gives out. The small retaining band for the strap breaks inexplicably in the middle of the night, and I end up with the excess end of the strap flapping and catching on my clothes and falling off. The new watch straps are about half the price of what a brand new watch costs, and I find I prefer just to pick out a new watch because after the year the paint on the face has started to chip and it looks ragged. It's also a refreshing change of pace to get a new color.


This is a really nice and easy to use watch especially for the money. I bought it for my 11 year old daughter and it is perfect for her. The buttons are easy to use and very intuitive. We did not even need to use the instructions to figure everything out. Would definitely buy again.


Day and time are easy to read. Buttons are good size and become intuitive very quickly. Band is comfortable and easy to secure. Night light feature is not a back light, but lights up the numbers instead. Can't be seen in light, but very easy to read in the dark.


I have owned several Ironman watches by Timex going back ages. They used to be so complicated to use, but I needed the features it offers. The Indiglo is better, hoping it will lead to longer battery life. The stopwatch (chronograph) is much, much easier to use because this one tells you how to reset it, rather than guessing. But what I am delighted about most of all is that the numbers are clearer on the face than ever before. As far as alarms go, I can now tell which ones are on and which ones are off, as the watch TELLS me. I always wear the bands out, so I give these watches a lot of wear and tear, feeling that I am getting my money's worth. This watch fills the bill and the color choice was fabulous on the Amazon site.


I wear this watch 24 hours a day. I get it fully immersed often: in the shower, bath and pool. After one year, the band broke. It wasn't worth fixing, and I couldn't really find another watch that had all the features I wanted, so I just bought another Timex. I've had the second one for over a year. I use all of the features, but I have never really gotten the hang of the lap functions - I just forget to push the button. I am probably going to get a new watch with a heart monitor next year, but overall I'm satisfied.

Timex Men's 3 Lap Ironman Resin Strap Watch #T5E901

Great watch. Not too big and extremely comfortable. From day one I could barely tell that I was wearing it because it is so light. The shaped wristband helps too.
I've worn this everyday for about two years now. The buttons work well and numbers are large and clear. However, the face of my watch became somewhat cloudy after a camping trip. I'm not sure if it is due to bugspray with high DEET concentration, or if the watch just got too close to the hot fire.


I bought this watch for a guy friend who is 6'4" and almost 300 lbs. So he's big. I was looking for a big watch. The face of this watch is not as big as I'd hoped. Instead I'll be giving it to a smaller guy friend. As for how it works, I don't know yet. It will be a Xmas gift.


Supposed to be water proof - got wet washing the car and you can see water leakage inside the face. Strictly a poser watch - not for active use.


I bought this watch because I run at night and neeeded something that would light up with no fumbling around. I had never used a FLIX featured watch before however after a few weeks I have found it indispensible. Begin able to turn on the watch with the flick of your wrist without needing both hands helps me keep stride.
The numbers are large and the controls are intuitive. The indiglo shows through the numbers instead of on top of face so the contrast between the numbers and the surrounding area is high. I have not used the occasion or alarm features so I don't have comments on those. I wish it would store a time and allow recall on multiple times instead of splits but that is a minor inconvienence.


Still been a couple of weeks since I bought. It looks good and is a fine watch. Not too pricey. Good buy so far.

After looking high and low for a better watch than the Ironman, I came back to the old reliable and was not disappointed. Perfect size, easy use, more features than most of us really need. GREAT WATCH!


The product is perfect for anyone who wants to have a good quality sports watch.
It has an intuitive interface, it's easier to use than most sports watches and the Timex indiglo back light looks just great.


I've owned sports watches for a long time, many of them Timex Ironman watches. It's easily the best looking of sports watches I've seen. I really like the blue and silver with the black band...and a touch of orange. The watch is also extremely functional....easy to set & easy to use. I love it! My puppy chewed mine up a few weeks ago, so I went immediatley to Amazon to order another one. I'm glad that Timex still makes the same model. Big thumbs up.


I bought the Timex 5E931 Ironman from Amazon about a month ago, after researching several Timex and Casio watches. So far, I've been very pleased with it.

I've previously had two Casio G-Shock watches which were indeed indestructible (except for the black plastic bits around the face, and the little loop for the band). My main problem with the G-Shocks was their thickness which would cause them to catch when putting on a shirt or jacket.

This Timex is much more attractive and comfortable to wear. The contrasting dark blue and silver colors and reasonable size give it a classy look. And it feels much lighter on my wrist. The large display is very easy to read. My only minor cosmetic complaint is the tiny orange "M" on the face which seems a little goofy (but I think all Ironman watches have something like that).

I've been impressed with the accuracy of the watch which only gains about a second per week (about four times better than my Casios). I use the stopwatch feature for timing a variety of things at work and at home.

For $[...] at Amazon (with free shipping) it's a great bargain.



Purchase the timex men's watch online for my son before
he left for his second year of college at UC San Diego.
My son had the same watch and recently broke the watch band, tried to just replace the watch band but was told that they did not sell replacement watch bands. By purchasing the watch online, saved a few
dollars and my son is very happy with the watch because he has had the same watch for many years now without any problems. Would recommend this watch to anyone looking to buy a great timex watch.

I wear this watch all day (work, play, gym, etc.) The size is nice, small yet easy to read. I don't like the bulky alternatives. Getting watch, chrono, countdown timer, several alarms, and 100m waterproof for $35 is a good deal for me. The Indiglo lighting numbers on a dark background is different in a good way.

My one complaint is about the wrist band, for which I admittedly have a thing. My last watch had nylon/leather which stayed wet and smelled funky after a while. I do like the rubber material used for this watches band. However, the loop that holds the band after the buckle is not reliable. It moves around and often leaves the band flapping around. A minor issue, but being active I hate loose straps flapping around. I've had the watch just over a year and have had no failures.


I have this watch in sort of a mid-green color, and I've beat it to death. Runs like a top, does everything I need. Plus, I'm a scuba diver and have had it at depths of up to 110 feet fairly often without problems. It really IS water resistant.

True, the watchband dies pretty quickly, but I found several places to buy a replacement for an average price of $12...one is a sports outlet with three initials in the name - the 18th letter of the alphabet, the 5th, and the ninth. I've had mine for over a year and the battery's still going, but admittedly you probably do have to take it to a jeweler to have it replaced.

WARNING: Timex says to take this watch to a jeweler to replace the battery. That's because you can't reset it and get everything to work again if *you* change the battery. So, it's nice for about 2 years then probably time to find another watch.


I don't agree with the other reviewer. The wrist band is fine. It's been about 1.5 years and the band hasn't shown any signs of failing. I guess if you strangle your wrist with the watch then it might not last so long.

Onto the review.

I like this watch. Its got three alarms which I need. Other features are easy to use and adjust. Well what else can I say. I'm satisfied.


The watch is fine, but the watchband is resin (plastic) and like others I have owned, break within a year or so from normal flexing. Mine did and I cannot find a replacement band in stores or online. Thus 2 stars because the watch works, the band doesn't.
