Customer Buzz
This is a great watch that I wear all of the time. Easy to read, both the analog and digital dials, although the "solar" label on the face makes it hard to check the battery level at times. It's very comfortable and isn't heavy enough to want to move around the wrist too much. One of my only complaints is that it is hard to keep charged, especially when one isn't wearing it 24/7. Other than that, a great purchase and definitely worth the money.

Customer Buzz
I have a drawer full of watches with dead batteries, and thus recently I've been buying more "eco-friendly" watches, if only to avoid the hassle of battery changes. I have a Seiko Kinetic Auto Relay and a Casio Men's Ani-Digi Solar Watch #AWS90D-2AV watch.

Now, I got this Timex watch to add to my collection. On the whole the watch works like a champ. It's cheaper than Casio's G-Shock line of rugged/sports watches, but it stands up to the rough-and-tumble of outdoor activities as good as, if not better than, a Casio G-Shock.

What I like:
1. Large digits, and indiglo isn't "glaring" when used at night.

2. Long-lasting illuminated hands on the dial

3. Able to turn LCD display off and "blend in" to an office environment

4. Date display format can be configured for DD/MM or MM/DD

5. "Silent Mode". Watch can be configured to be almost silent, removing button-press beeping sounds if desired.

6. Blinking battery icon to indicate charging mode.

What I don't like:
1. Watch band is fixed onto the body. I don't see a way to easily replace the band should it ever get worn or break from use.

2. The "SOLAR" word is printed on the watch glass at the 9 o'clock position. Hence the hands will be obscured by it whenever it moves to that position (9 o'clock, or any hour at 45 mins).

3. Only the hands are illuminated. No other illuminated markings on the watch dial.

Customer Buzz
I'm a LONG time Ironman wearer, and I was very pleased with the functionality, feel, and looks of this one, but 2 days outside the window for Amazon returns, and it can't keep any time. The hands will freeze periodically and seemingly randomly work at others. The digital clock(s) lose 10 minutes or so a day, and will periodically zero itself out. It sounds like a battery being low...but this is SOLAR, and the indicator reads that it's 100%.

Mine may just be "the" dud, but I was rather disappointed that
1) The watch is useless
2) Timex has gone to unreplaceable bands (pretty tough on $50-150 watches)
3) The failure happened just outside the return window, so I'm wondering if it isn't s design "feature"
