Designed for active, outdoor lifestyles--as well as the rigors of harsh urban landscapes--the full-sized timex stainless steel analog/digital men's watch (model 45191) adds a stylish yet rugged complement to your everyday wear. It features a large silver stainless steel watch case that's topped by a bi-directional rotating bezel with black engraved elapsed time markings and coin-edged detailing for a sure grip in inclement conditions. The dark gray dial includes large stick markers, luminous hands (with orange seconds hand), and small minute indexes. It also features a digital window at the bottom of the dial, which offers the ability to track three time zones, a 24-hour chronograph (with lap/split option), 24-hour countdown timer, and an alarm. Other features include a water resistant black leather strap (with white contrast stitching) and water resistance to 100 meters (330 feet).

The Indiglo night-light uniformly lights the surface of the watch dial using patented blue electroluminescent lighting technology. It uses less battery power than most other watch illumination systems, enabling your watch battery to last longer. The Night Mode feature allows you to illuminate the Indiglo night-light for 3 seconds with any button press, regardless of the mode or function.

I bought this watch as a replacement for an older Timex that had similar features. I love the features -- both analog and digital, alarm, timer, Indiglo, multiple time zones (it says three but it really is one analog and two digital time zones). Unfortunately the rotating bezel did not work at all -- the numbers are there but it does not rotate at all. This was one of the reasons I bought this model.

When it arrived, I started to set the time, alarm, etc. The buttons were slow to respond and then it started beeping continuously (like a loud alarm) and none of the buttons worked at all. I could not get it to stop making noise and it did so for almost an hour.

Eventually it stopped making noise and seemed to begin working properly again. I had read the other negative review but dismissed it as a one-time defect. Now that it has happened to me and did so right out of the box, I do not recommend this watch.


As for longevity I cannot speak - only had it a week. But its a solid watch. Seems very well built to me. Nice to have an analog with the dependability of a digital alarm. Though the leather band is quality I actually replaced the band with a Timex Expedition Fast Wrap for a river trip & I don't think I'll be replacing it any time soon - great band and the 20mm size fits the watch well.

Note that despite what some sites say this watch (T45191) allows for tracking 2 timezones and not 3, and the bezel does NOT turn - its a permanent part of the brushed stainless steel case. Fine by me - one less part to break. The watch face also is more grey than black so its a bit lighter than what you see in the photo. As of this writing the cost on this watch is down to $36 but I would have paid the retail $59.95 for it. It really seems to be a solid piece.


I bought this watch a little over a year ago. Yesterday it started ringing and found that the battery needed to be changed. Spent $7.25 to have battery changed, started ringing in less than an hour. Went back to battery store and found the watch had fried the battery and was junk. I no longer had the recipt for proof of purchase for any warranty. I expected the watch to last longer then this.
