Great watch. Compass needs to be calibrated but actually works pretty well - I've actually been using it regularly (I had my doubts and was worried it might be another gadget that never sees any real world use).
First off I think the watch is probably worth the money. The features (with one exception) are great and the battery life is good. However, I did have issues with it.
I have had two of these watches. The first one got water in it, and fogged up. It was only a month old at the time. I had not changed the battery or opened it up and I was swimming in a stream when it happened. I definitely was not more than 5 feet under water.
I got the second watch as a replacement for the first. I used it extensively for 3-4 years. Trained for a marathon with it and timed a ton of splits, which is partially to blame for the split button wearing out (I had to press it super hard towards the end). Then after its last battery change the thing got water logged. I took it apart, let it dry, but the display never fully returned.
Now for the one bad feature. This watch has no split recall. It gives you a total and the lap number. You can't go back and see what you ran. That sort of stinks. But overall its not a bad watch. I loved the compass feature it fit well and it looked good. But for the $50 I paid for the thing I really can't complain to much. Its pretty good.
This watch as a Christmas gift for our 15 year old Grandson, since he didn't have a lot of wishes on
his list this year I wanted to get him a special watch. I went to three different sites before I was able
to purchase this watch and I was so happy to get it. After he opened it at our family Christmas party
he had it on his wrist and working in 15 minutes. He came up to me afterward and was showing me
all the features. This is a young man that loves to hunt, ride ATV's, go carts and just plain stay busy and
be outside so I wanted something durable and dependable. His Grandpa after looking at it when he was
showing me the features told me later he would like a watch like that!!
Searched around a lot before settling on this watch. Criteria included: ruggedness, set-and-forget functionality, everyday usage, performance for the price, aesthetics.
I was looking for a watch with alarm(s) and multiple time zones that could withstand a beating. Turns out this one satisfied those requirements and then some. Quite satisfied so far.
