This watch satisfies the requirements that I have, a loud enough alarm and night reading but I would prefer not to have the numbers around the ring which looks more like a divers watch. I would like to see more attractive women's watches that have good alarms and can be read at night.


I picked this watch out as my birthday present and am very pleased with it. It seems like it is pretty tough and I tend to not think about taking a watch off while I am doing things. So this matches my lifestyle.


I also had problems with the date; not only is it too small for me to read easily, but the first time I changed the time for daylight saving, the date was off by 12 hours. That is, the date would change at 12 noon instead of 12 a.m. I reset it with difficulty (I have trouble with the tiny stems), but it still would change at the wrong time of day.

The next problem was with the lower stem; I couldn't get it to pull out, then when I tugged on it with my fingernails, it came all the way off. The watch still worked, but the stem won't move the hands and the Indiglo function no longer works. The outer bezel ring won't move them either; moreover, when I rotated the bezel to try to set the watch, the upper stem came off. It's not threaded, but it seems to "wind" off somehow when I spin the ring. The watch isn't very old and I don't put it to rugged use, so I'm disappointed that there are so many failures already.

Just a matter of preference, but I find the gray (not beige) strap a bit odd--neither masculine nor feminine and not particularly sporty.


I love the Indiglo and the easy-set alarm on the Expedition watches. My last one lasted many years (almost 10?) and is still going strong after wearing through a few watch bands, and I just can't bring myself to change to a watch that doesn't have these very useful functions. I am glad to find this model which has a smaller face and all the same functions... BUT the date display function is rather unstable, at least on the one I got. I would expect the date on a watch to switch over some time around midnight, but this one sometimes switches over at 10pm (which I can deal with if it's at least consistent), and sometimes switches over to next day's date as early as 3 or 4 pm in the afternoon!

I wonder if it's a common defect in this model, or if I just got a specially quirky one. Probably should have returned it for an exchange but didn't want to deal with the hassle...


I am very pleased could actually not be more pleased and have told all my friends about it! The service was fast and the watch is just as described and just like the photo which doesn't happed that often. I would definitely order from the Chelsea watch company again.


Love this watch, the "easy set alarm" is cool and convenient. Would purchase again.


a Valentines gify for my wife. To replace a much worn and torn favorite , discontinued watch which never came off of her arm.
After looking locally, and being unable to find a replacement like it. Ta Da the internet, finding on which is the same, but named differently. Price check on BizRate. Amazon wins again, this time a partner. Well Amazon must be as good about picking partners as it is about taking care of its customers.
