This timex men's watch doesn't require a battery or winding; it stores energy every time you move your wrist. It has a brown, genuine leather band attached to a stainless steel case. The bezel is round and the cream-colored dial is easy to read with Arabic-numeral indexes. There is a date window between the four o'clock and five o'clock positions. Two gauges on the dial indicate 24-hour time and the power reserve. The watch features a quartz movement, has a mineral crystal, and is water resistant to 165 feet (50 meters). It is covered by the manufacturer's 1-year warranty.

I just want to say that I didn't have HUGE expectations when I found that Timex was making an automatic watch, but I thought I'd give it a shot as I don't own any watches that are electric. I don't like to wear my Omega to work every day!! If you like the idea of a self-wind watch that is affordable...this is your watch. It's got a sweeping second hand...a charge meter (which more expensive watches should have)...and a magnified date.

Something I wish it had...illuminated hands, for seeing the time at night.

It doesn't keep time as well as my ninety year old watch...but it's close enough!

I also love the clear back on the watch. It's interesting to be able to see the movement.

Best thing about the watch, is having a nice automatic movement for a reasonable price! Good job Timex!


I've been looking for a good looking, reliable automatic watch for many months. I've tried a number of moderate to expensive famous brands, but this Timex is the best I've seen and the best I've worn. Don't be fooled by the label -- this is a quality watch: it looks very good and runs perfectly. I've already received a number of compliments. It has a nice size (it's not bulky and heavy); it has easy-to-read numbers and dials, and it has a quality look overall. Best of all, the price is right!! I paid under $100 for this watch and it's far ahead of a flawed famous name watch I recently returned for a $400 refund.


As an admirer of self-winding watches; from Timex to Rolex, I have to say; if you want a watch that is attractive, accurate (especially for a self winding timepiece): Buy the Timex. Experience tells me that the "status" the expensive self winding watches include won't insure your prompt arrival to that important meeting. And, if you don't make the sale, you can still buy gasoline for your next important appointment.

After all these years, this Timex: "Takes a licking and keeps on ticking".

Nice looking watch, feels great to wear.
The 1 bad & unforgivable issues is that if I do not wear it for 2 consecutive days, it will go from "fully" charged to "zero" charge & the watch will stop working.
I know it is fully charged because I have to wear it while jogging for 30 minutes every otherday to keep it fully charged. Just everyday walking around does not fully charge it.
For example if I go jogging today & it is fully charged, and then let the watch sit on my dresser for the next 48 hours, the watch will stop & I'll have to reset time & be sure to be active again.

Bummer.
I went from admiring this watch to now hating this watch.
Im now going to buy a solar powered watch.


Item was shipped and received in less than a week. The Timex watch was new, and works great. It looks very good, too.
