A highly dependable watch.
I bought it for my excursion to Vietnam, which I ended up inhabiting for around 6 months.
It's sturdily built, taking all sorts of abuse. From me falling off of crumy 25 cent bikes, to diving into a tropical ocean, to unvoluntarily rolling down some hills, this watch could take it. The band is made out of high quality fabric and heck, still looks as good as new. There are some scratches on the face, but they're negligable. Albeit, the watch did get a bit too hot to wear in the burning Vietnamese weather - it's better than plastic to me. I used it as my handy reliable alarm clock as well.
The only drawback I can really think of is that it retains odor for a little while if worn while washing dishes (or a few other flavorful things that may soak the band).
With a strong design with a large scratch-proof face, this watch is reliable, sleek, and highly capable.
In short, a dang good watch.
I bought this watch for my 15 year old son going to boarding school. He loves it and says it has many helpful features. (well maybe not in those words LOL) He loves the dual timers and stopwatch and alarm for getting up on time in the morning.
This is actually the second one of these watches I've purchased. I had the first one for almost 10 years, during which time I wore it everyday to school and usually left it on to work out. It withstood constant use and abuse remarkably well. In fact, the only reason I actually purchased a new one was because the battery finally died and it was cheaper to get an entirely new watch than replace the battery. This watch is extremely small and light; it's actually lighter than my girl friend's metal watch. The face is large enough to easily see all the information, yet it doesn't interfere with my wrist movement at all. The best part, though, is the band. It's a combination of material and leather, so it breathes really well, which is very important to me because I'm always washing my hands, so I need a band that lets the skin underneath dry. I highly recommend this watch to anyone who desires a durable, highly functional, and inconspicuous watch.
This watch was bought as a replacement for my husband for christmas. He wore his old timex until it basically fell apart. He liked this one much more... He likes that the band is thinner than his old one and that this one has velcro closure. He wears it to work everyday... It def. does get a lot of use! The one must was the indiglo.... A must have!
