This is my second Timex Ironman watch. My first one I bought a couple years ago, never had any problems. The maintenance on it was replace the battery. This year I had to replace the battery very often! Every 3 months and the time between changes became shorter and shorter.
So I decided to get another watch.
I found the exact same watch at Amazon and bought it.
So far so good. I will be glad if it will serve me as well as my first Timex Ironman!
The whole transaction was very easy. The delivery was on time.

I am a female construction worker and I owned an Ironman Triathlon for about 4 yrs. When the speaker stopped working, I wanted the same watch. It is no longer available. I ordered this Ironman Triathlon. It has most of the features of the previous model except it only has one alarm mode. My old watch had three alarm modes.

Purchased for my son's birthday - not here as yet.

Items came timely and looks to be just what I wanted.

Solid little watch,
I liked the older black on black style as it was more understated.
BAND NOT REPLACEABLE.
It's a soft plastic and they become brittle and fail in about a year.
Usually at the retainer band
They offer one, but attempting replacement will cause a decent,
if not into madness, at least into serious chagrin.
Consider it disposable.
At this price that's OK.

I've done several triathlons with this watch in addition to wearing it every day for 8 or so years. I just finally had to buy another after the battery was wearing down (harder to read the face) and the band was just starting to crack. I did use this watch every day in my profession. Timing patients in walks etc. Great durable for the money.

I am completely satisfied with this watch. It is an excellent practical watch, just as I expected.

My first watch was an Ironman Timex...and I can't wear anything else!

It's designed for effective yet simple use...the face gives information that is needed and easy to read. Day, Month, Date, Time...nothing else is there and nothing else is needed.

The watch also features a timer that counts down, a stopwatch that counts up, and an alarm, which you can set to go off every day, only on weekdays, or only on weekends, a handy tool if you want to sleep in Saturday and Sunday without resetting the alarm.

A real consumer's watch...why buy anything else?

Customer Buzz
As a runner, I appreciate this watch's simplicity and ease of use. All of the functions are very intuitive. The backlight is bright and uniform. The buttons offer good tactile response. The battery life is excellent - I use the backlight frequently, but I've only had to replace the battery once in the two years I've owned it.

Two caveats to my otherwise positive review: first, the wristband has broken on me several times. Each replacement band costs about $10 US. The representative at the watch store suggested I not wear the watch in the shower or when doing dishes. This makes sense; I can see how the chemicals involved in these activities can damage rubber. I've been careful to remove the watch since the last replacement and the band seems to be holding up better this time around.

Second, with the backlight on, the watch face is only readable from certain angles. So when you're running and you hit the backlight to check your time, you have to view the watch more-or-less directly from above.

Other than that, this is a great, basic watch that's well suited for runners and other athletes who need a durable watch to keep track of time.

I replaced an older Timex with this one and it has not failed me yet!

I've dropped it into a pond, ran it over once and lost count count how many times times I have hit it on something, and yet it just keeps ticking. No cracks, scratches or other evidence of potential disaster.

If your looking for a VERY good watch with a chronograph, 2 lap counters, an alarm, 12/24 hour clock, indiglo backlight or 2 time settings this is the one for you.
