All I wanted was a plain ol watch, nothing fancy, nothing complicated (believe me, I have a few of those). This is just what the doctor ordered. Plain and simple. Minute hand, hour hand, and second hand. But wait, what's this? Indiglo? Cool, push the stem and the watch lights up. Neat. Ah, it hacks too. Ok so two frills, haha. If it didn't have these frills I'd be happy too. Lightweight and keeps good time. Looks good. Long battery life. Can't complain at all. I really like this watch.
I like this watch a great deal and have very few complaints. It is easy to read, keeps great time, and the battery has lasted for almost three years now.
The band is my only complaint. As with most velcro, after a few hundred (or thousand as it actually may be) openings and closings, it begins to get less secure. I find I have to tighten it up more often than I used to. Still, the watch is so light I usually forget it is there. I do not think you'll be disappointed.
This watch is exactly what it appears to be. I solid, basic, and very easy to read-at-a-glance watch. I like the clean appearance and the "dress casual" look of the band. It's very light on the wrist - easy to forget you're wearing a watch at all. One point off for a plastic dial window (Amazon says it's "mineral") which is likely to scratch easily. Date window is just large enough to be easy to read. Very satisfied with this watch.
The title of my review was part of an enduring ad campaign that ran for years decades ago. I'm in my 60th year and have never bought any brand other than Timex because they're inexpensive, stylish, and incredibly durable. I've owned this particular watch for several years now and have yet to replace the battery. It's light and comfortable on the wrist. Furthermore, it keeps perfect time and is easy to see. It looks good whether you're at work or play. Timex, in my opinion, continues to offer an excellent watch for a reasonable price, something they've been doing since I owned my first Timex watch as an eight year old in 1958. This watch is no exception.
For a basic, reliable, everyday watch, this is an excellent choice. As one who has an allergy to metallic watches and watchbands, this watch, with its fabric band and coated surfaces, provides blessed relief from skin irritation.
There is, however, one drawback: During moments of quiet time, the TICK, TICK, TICK of this watch may be too annoying for some. Have found it necessary to place this watch far away from the bedroom each night to escape its loud TICK, TICK, TICK when trying to sleep.
But, on the whole, a good value.
I needed a reliable easy to read watchj that I could use without fear of it being broken. This watch more than fits that need and is actyuaqlly fairly good looking.
I swim regularly in a pool, sometimes in the ocean, and I've had no problems at all with this watch for the past two months. It is perfect to wear for the gym and other activities, since it is light like a paper clip. The watch band is nylon, so it dries quickly and won't rot like leather if it gets wet. The dial lights up when you press the button so there is no trouble reading it in the dark. Also, the hands glow in the dark even without pressing the button, so that you can still read the time if both hands are busy. For this price, you can't get a more perfect sport and swimming watch.
The band secures with velcro, so you get a perfect fit every time you put it on. No hassles taking out links, nor with the "holes" on a standard band wearing out or ripping.
Note that at a rating of 50M, it is only meant for shallow swimming, not SCUBA, nor snorkeling. But it's great in the pool, and you won't find another watch that is a better deal.
This is an ideal work watch.
I work in a max/med security prison and needed a cheaper but good quality work watch. This watch fit the bill nicely. It does not have the velcro band like the one with the black face. When this watch breaks it will be replaced with another one just like it.
This watch is great for my daily workouts. It is light and easy to wear while I am running or lifting weights.
I bought this watch because it said Case Diameter 41mm. Its not that size at all. It's not what I expected from a seller at Amazon to do.
When I bought the Dakota Black field watch I got the large size.
The watches size is a kids watch.
I am very very upset over this purchase. I just wanted a large face watch which is simple to use.
