Product Description
Accept no imitations or limitations. There is only one Timex ironman* Triathlon®. Stylish enough for the weekend warrior, technical enough for the extreme athlete. Don't swim, bike, run, jump, climb, throw, or kick without one.
I had the Ironman Triathlon 100-lap Flix for about three years, maybe longer. Recently it began to reset itself (it erased its memory, and the time would jump to 1:00 1-1-2000). I took it to my local running store and they helped me send it to Timex. After a few weeks I got it back with a sticker, "cannot be repaired." The box included a new watch, a Timex Men's Ironman 100-Lap FLIX System Watch #T5E231, and a bill for $7. Although I will miss my old watch, the one I got seems even better (it has the same features, and then some). I am very pleased by the response from Timex customer service, the five stars are for them.
You can never go wrong with a Timex Ironman Triathlon. I am glad I found this watch since the previous one I had kept draining the battery. Why change something that you are use to.
I have had T66801 for over 5 years now. Always wanted T51931 because of the exact same functions of T66801 but with a black finish.
Recently while shopping at Timex store, I happened to notice T51931 on sale for $24.99. I picked it up without blinking.
Now I have the two best watches ever designed by Timex. I don't think I have to buy another watch for a decade or so.
It's got the right amount of features for a sports watch designed in the late 90s.
100 lap memory
9 interval timer with option to switch over to chrono mode automatically
5 alarms
2nd time zone accessible with 1 click ( many watches have dual or triple time zones but accessibility is a pain )
10, 3 page memo
Flix mode Indiglo
and seriously everlasting batteries that put a solar watch to shame...
I changed the batteries on my silver one (T66801) couple of months back and it costed me a buck and a half...buck and a half in 5 years is one hell of a bargain.
This watch is worth every cent. I haven't seen a better watch in this price range...like the gentleman says above...let me know if you find a better one...
This's one is for Times, if they care to read this...
Your designs are getting boring...
Sometime ago I had another Timex Watch, it had 12 years in use, this new model comes with another special features like the bright on the screen, beutifull watch, received just on time and with a good price, the best watches for sports: Timex Trade Mark.
Found the face scratched very easily but EVEN MORE ANNOYING was the buttons are abit to sensitive. I find the useage of them not intuitive at all, and more often then not I look down to check the time and find I am in lap mode or some other screen.
I got this watch to replace another one almost exactly alike. All the new timex watches are in a different style now that i do not like and i am more use to this style watch. Well for running or bikeing this is a great watch. It has 100 lap memory with date so if you get busy you can write down all your weekly times by date at a time when you are not so busy. It has countdown timers for interval timing of your workouts. It has five alarms. And a message feature where you can save little messages to yourself. All in all it is a great watch for a runner of any speed.
I have loved this type of watch for quite some time now I really cant remember how many years now but its been the best. It has 5 alarm settings which I use constantly. My wife gets up to it since she still works @ 04:30 then 5 min. later It will go off again. I have it set then for my grand kids to pick up and take them to school. and then last but not least my baby grand daughter while my daughter in=law goes to work, while my son is in Iraq. and Then of course I have it also set for Iraq time zone also. I guess by now you feel sorry that you asked huh? I can go on and say that I also have it set for watering my grass for 10 min. at a time. Thanks for asking.
This is an excellent workout watch at a decent price too! Once I figured out how to activate the Flix feature by pressing down the light button for a couple of seconds until I heard the beep, I also realised that the Flix feature could be deactivated with the same actions too. Although I've not needed to use most of the other functions as yet, it's nice to know that I can if I wanted to. It's also remarkably lightweight and the watch face is aesthetically pleasing and I also like the strap. My only concern is finding a suitable replacement once the rubber inevitably wears out over the coming years. Overall a great watch at a reasonable price. Recommended!
Its of bad quality. It stopped working within few weeks. its not worth for 40$. you can buy it for few dollars in garage sale.
Bad watch. Within few weeks, everything stopped working. Worst watch. during the night, its not clear enough to see. overall bad watch and it should be in garage sale for few bucks. please dont buy and suffer
